Old War Machines

Millennia ago, great stone and metal constructs animated by unknown magicks warred with the dread aberrations that came down from the stars. The aberrations were beaten back.

Now, the world is marred with the remains of each side: constructs dead and dormant, laid back upon the earth, and the grotesque corpses of their enemies, desiccated greying masses that only ever reek of salt instead of rot.

The bodies of the constructs still contain valuable secrets: artifacts, magicks, records, and resources. Yet rarely do any dive into their depths for fear of triggering ancient defense systems, unknown threats, or even latent infestations of creatures from beyond the heavens.

Few are brave enough to venture within. You are.

OLD WAR MACHINES is a tabletop roleplaying game designed for 2-4 players and one Guide about scavenging through the dormant bodies of ancient constructs for resources, valuables, and ancient knowledge.  Discover the dangers and narratives of the past. Return home, and decide what your life is worth.
